Every now and then, dark Shadow Bloomies appear and challenge your Bloomies. Battles run completely on their own – you just cheer from the sidelines.
How a fight works
- The faster Bloomie attacks first. If both are equally fast, your Bloomie goes first.
- Then they take turns until one of them runs out of HP.
- An attack is either a neutral hit or an element attack. Element attacks are stronger to begin with, and the higher a Bloomie's Strength, the more often it uses its element.
- Element attacks can be super effective or not very effective – see Elements & Weaknesses.
- High Speed gives a chance to dodge an attack completely or to attack twice.
- Any attack can be a critical hit for double damage. High Defense makes crits less likely.

Winning & losing
When your Bloomie wins, the Shadow Bloomie drops gold and your Bloomie gets EXP. With the Experience Points Sharer skill, extra Bloomies get EXP too – always the ones with the lowest level. Great for leveling up newcomers!
If your Bloomie loses, don't worry: it just faints for a few seconds and then gets back up. Nothing is lost.
The higher your World Level, the stronger the Shadow Bloomies that show up.
Turn on Cozy Mode in the options to disable all fights. Keep in mind that earning gold takes much longer without battles.
Want more fights? The Shadow summoner item calls 1–3 Shadow Bloomies at once.
